We will continue to go rosary every Friday! The kids did a fabulous job of following along. So proud of them!
The 100th day of school will be here SOON! I will send home more information next week. Due to Michigan weather the date is subject to change, but I am planning on Monday, February 3rd. I will also send out a sign up genius for volunteers and snack/supply donations. Part of our celebration is dressing like we are 100 years old. I encourage using items/clothes from home, not purchasing anything.
We have a field trip coming up this month to 3 Mile Project. It is on Monday, the 27th. Please return permission slip Tuesday if you haven't sent it in yet. We need a head count. If you do not plan on your child attending please send me an email letting me know. Thank you!

We started opinion writing this week! Students are stating their opinion on a topic and backing it up with two reasons. Check out our opinions in the hallway of what the best color is.
Don't forget Mondays are gym day- make sure your child has athletic shoes on Mondays.
We started reading a chapter book series called, Mercy Watson. It is a great introduction to chapter books. We have been working a lot on summarizing and predicting with this text.
We also started non-standard measurement this week. We will measure with all types of things, paper clips, blocks, pencils, links etc.
Our school wide traveling crucifixes started circulating. When your family receives one it will be on a Friday and should be returned the following Wednesday. Also, there is a book of intentions in the school lobby if you have needs that you would like prayed for. You can write them in the book or e-mail me and I will add it to the book.
